Come design and screen print your own patch for a cushion, a framed print, a tote bag or Jazz up those old jeans!
COURSE OUTLINE
In this workshop you will learn how to create a hand cut stencil for a 1-3 colour print. The technique of registration will be taught to separate the colours within your design and adding effects to make it pop! There will also be a chance to use a digital stencil cutting medium.
A calico base cloth will be provided but if you have other fabric please bring along.
Come with some inspiration designs printed onto A4 paper - simple clean lines and shapes are recommended to begin with.
To get the most out of this course, think ahead about what type of design you'd like to print (bring A3 print outs of simple images).

Ingrid creates screen printed fabrics with an innate connection to local design, heritage and contemporary art. Her designs are inspired by a love of New Zealand’s native flora and fauna and are recognisable with her use of simple motifs and bold flat colour.
